TEA (Triethanolamine) is a clear, colourless to pale yellow, viscous alkaline liquid widely used as a pH adjuster, neutralizing agent, emulsifier and surfactant aid in formulation systems. It is commonly used in cosmetics and personal care products, shampoos, creams, lotions, liquid soaps, detergents, polishes and industrial formulations. In cosmetic formulations, TEA can help neutralize acidic ingredients such as carbomer, supporting gel formation and viscosity development, while also contributing to emulsion stability.
