Technical Description & Product Overview

Sodium Hydrosulfite (Sodium Dithionite) is a powerful reducing agent supplied as a white to pale yellow crystalline powder with strong oxygen-reducing properties. It is widely used in textile processing and dyeing, pulp and paper, mineral processing, water treatment and chemical manufacturing, particularly for reducing, bleaching and removing unwanted colour. Chemical formula: Na₂S₂O₄; CAS: 7775-14-6. It is sensitive to moisture, heat and air and may decompose to release irritating gases; store and handle according to the SDS and supplier’s technical specifications.
