Potassium Hydroxide (KOH) is a strong alkaline compound widely used as a pH regulator, saponifying agent, cleaning agent and chemical processing raw material. It is particularly important in the manufacture of soft and liquid soaps, where it reacts with oils and fats to produce potassium-based soap salts. KOH is also used in liquid detergents, industrial cleaning products, water treatment, chemical manufacturing, biodiesel processing and various industrial applications. It is commonly supplied as white flakes, pellets or solid granules and dissolves readily in water, releasing significant heat during dissolution.
