Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) Detergent Grade is a water-soluble cellulose derivative widely used as a soil-suspending, anti-redeposition, thickening and stabilizing agent in detergent formulations. It helps prevent removed dirt from redepositing onto fabrics during washing, while also contributing to formulation viscosity and stability. CMC is commonly used in laundry powders, liquid detergents, washing soaps, household cleaners and other cleaning formulations. It is typically supplied as a white to off-white powder or granules and hydrates in water to form a viscous solution.
