Technical Description & Product Overview
Palm Kernel Oil (PKO) is a vegetable oil extracted from the kernels of the oil palm (Elaeis guineensis), valued for its relatively high content of saturated fatty acids, particularly lauric acid. It is widely used in the manufacture of soaps, detergents, cosmetics, personal care products and other oleochemical formulations. In soap making, Palm Kernel Oil contributes to good cleansing, hardness and rich lather, while in personal care formulations it can provide emollient and conditioning properties. INCI: Elaeis Guineensis (Palm) Kernel Oil; CAS: 8023-79-8. Properties vary depending on whether the oil is crude, refined, bleached and deodorized (RBD), or otherwise processed.
