Cocamide Diethanolamine (Cocamide DEA) is a nonionic surfactant and multifunctional formulation ingredient derived from coconut fatty acids and diethanolamine. It is widely used as a foam booster, foam stabilizer, viscosity enhancer and emulsifying agent in cleaning and personal-care formulations. It is commonly incorporated into liquid soaps, shampoos, shower gels, dishwashing liquids, detergents and industrial cleaning products, where it helps produce richer, more stable foam and improves formulation consistency. Cocamide DEA is typically supplied as a viscous liquid or semi-solid material ranging from pale yellow to amber, depending on grade.
