Citric Acid is a naturally occurring organic acid widely used as an acidulant, pH regulator, chelating agent, preservative aid and flavouring ingredient. It is commonly available as a white crystalline powder and is highly soluble in water. Citric acid is widely used in food and beverage processing, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, personal care, detergents, household cleaners and water-treatment formulations. In food applications, it provides a clean acidic taste and helps regulate acidity, while in cleaning formulations it can help dissolve mineral deposits and improve performance.
