About us

Multikem Enterprises Ltd supplies quality chemicals and ingredients to manufacturing SMEs, formulators, resellers and institutions across Uganda. We’re growing fast, and we’re looking for a hands-on chemist who can help our customers make better products — and help us grow our sales.

Key responsibilities

•     Develop and test formulations for various within our product portfolio.

•     Advise customers on choosing the right ingredients, quantities and production methods.

•     Troubleshoot customers’ product problems (e.g., thickness, foaming, stability) and recommend fixes.

•     Identify customer needs and grow sales to manufacturing SMEs, formulators, resellers and institutions.

•     Support sales to schools, hospitals and hotels, including soap and pool treatment chemicals.

•     Run monthly customer webinars and quarterly hands-on technical workshops.

•     Create short educational videos and content for our social media pages (about four per month).

•     Prepare simple product guides, formulation sheets and safety information for customers.

•     Promote safe chemical handling, storage and labelling, both in-house and with customers.

•     Record customer enquiries, feedback and sales opportunities, in CRM and report on them periodically.

Requirements

•     A Diploma or Graduate in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or a related course.

•     Practical knowledge of formulating products such as soaps, detergents, disinfectants or cosmetics.

•     Experience in formulation, production, quality control or technical sales is an advantage.

•     A confident communicator and presenter, comfortable speaking to groups and appearing on camera.

•     Customer-focused, with a genuine interest in sales and helping customers grow their businesses.

•     Good understanding of chemical safety and safe handling practices.

•     Basic computer skills (Word, Excel and social media).

•     Integrity, initiative and the ability to work independently.
